Pain Management Immersion

SHARE & COMMENT

DO YOU SUFFER FROM CHRONIC PAIN?

  • Does pain make it hard for you to get out of bed in the mornings?
  • Are there days when you may not get out of bed at all?
  • Do you cancel plans with friends and family because of pain or lack of energy?
  • Have your household chores suffered, or been handed off to
    other family members?

If you answered “yes” to any one of these,
pain may be controlling your life and well-being.

Debra Hennesy, E-RYT, CPT
Debra began practicing yoga in 1986 following a knee injury and subsequent surgery. She became more intrigued with the power of yoga (& other complementary disciplines) as pain management in 1999, following spinal meningitis. Also a 3-time cancer survivor, Debra is no stranger to pain!

Debra comes from a background including psychology, neuroscience, yoga, Pilates, stress management, & yoga therapy. Her areas of specialization are therapeutics & pain management, with an emphasis in psychoneuroimmunology (PNI)…a fancy way to explain the connection between the brain, body, and our internal healing capacities. Debra is probably most known for the creation of a Teacher Training School (Feel Your Best–or FYB) which include divisions that train aspiring yoga & Pilates instructors, stress management consultants, & yoga therapists. FYB is the largest private (non-franchised) Yoga Teacher Training School in the world, having graduated over 500 students from 6 countries and all walks of life.¹

About the Pain Management Immersion, Debra says:
“Come with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and to receive great support. The program is small to allow for individualized attention. I look forward to meeting you!”

Julie Reising, MA, LMFT
Julie is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
Beyond those titles, Julie simply has a desire to change the world – one relationship at a time.
Her work of over 15 years as a counselor has fueled her passion for helping others live their
very best lives. Julie draws on her clinical training, her practical experience and her intuition to help clients
identify emotional blocks and overcome past trauma to get unstuck and
move forward to living life to the fullest.

As a chronic migraine sufferer, Julie understands physical pain and the emotional toll it takes on the individual. Her personal journey has led her to embrace a holistic approach to healing, and she utilizes
emerging research in the areas of mindfulness, mind-body- soul connection,
and neuroscience in her work with clients.

About the Pain Management Immersion, Julie says:
“I am beyond excited to partner with Debra for the Pain Management Immersion!”
