FYB Horizons (Stress Management) Programs - Overview
FYB's course curriculum is evolutionary, in that we strive to offer the most current, complete and comprehensive information. Our curriculum is based on continual and ongoing research and revision, as well as feedback from FYB students, FYB graduates, and the Stress Management field.
Levels 1 & 2 of the FYB Horizons Program are experiential, i.e., you will learn and experience practical techniques to manage stress...techniques that can be used in real-life situations. If you wish to learn how to teach these techniques to others, and become a Certified Horizons Teacher (CHT), you will also complete Level 3, in which teaching methodology, presentation, professionalism, and practicum hours will be the primary focus. The FYB Horizons Program is offered throughout the year as a Multi-Level (Levels 1-3) Program. The FYB Horizon Program involves instructor classroom time (contact hours) and home study (non-contact hours). Each Level consists of 30 hours of instructor classroom training and approximately 10 hours of home study (e.g. books & DVD's), for a total of 120 hours (90 hours of classroom training and 30 hours of home study).
Multi-Level Program: Various certification levels are offered periodically throughout the year. The levels must be completed in sequential order (e.g. Level 2 and then Level 3). FYB Horizons Teacher Certification is available to graduates of Level 3. Home study is required between Level 1 and 2, between Level 2 and 3, and following Level 3. Upon successful completion of all 3 Levels of the Multi-Level Program, you will be a FYB Horizons Certified Teacher (CHT).
